LOVE: Shadow Skirt by Sheike

I've always find it amusing how different things can look on a website and those in a catalogue. When I was in Sydney for my birthday, I grabbed a Sheike catalogue and I loved the look of this Shadow Skirt by Sheike. I couldn't find it in stores but I'm torn between my dislike for it here and my love for it in the catalogue. What if I was to buy it and I don't like it on? It happens so often that I get put off buying online sometimes. So my solution, I hope Sheike opens in Melbourne soon and it'll fix everything =P One can dream.

LOVE: Knife-pleat Maxi Dress by Victoria's Secret

I've been looking for a light coloured (cream, beige, peach or something like that) maxi dress for a while. First I thought I wanted one from Mango - which I check most days on eBay for - but this Knife-pleat Maxi Dress by Victoria's Secret may be the one. Postage costs are ridiculous so I'm pondering at the moment. But anywho, I love it all the same - whether or not I buy it is another question though ....

HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY!

Today is a very special day. Not only is it a very special day for Australia but it also marks Cry Little Sister's first anniversary. I wanted to send a big thankyou to every single person who has visited my blog, left a message, the friends I have made (especially Cynthia from Joy of Sooz!) and/or supported me from the very beginning. It means so much to me and I thank you dearly! My blog is my little baby and I love being able to share it with everybody :)

To all my Australian readers, I hope you're having an amazing day. Wear green and gold with pride, throw another shrimp on the barbie, have a lamington or two and listen to John Farnham. NEW: L.O.V.E. Necklace by Myer

I bought this L.O.V.E. Necklace at Myer yesterday. As I'm in 100% ... okay 99% ... saving mode, I used a gift voucher that I received over Christmas. The necklace retails for $16.95 but I got it for around $8, bargain! I fell in love (pun intended) as soon as I saw it. It is so hard to capture on camera but trust me when I say it's gorgeous.

I mainly went to shop for shoes - using my voucher also - but at first I thought I wanted neon yellow pointed heels but size 6 is too small and 7 too big. I then thought about getting them in a more strappy style. Yellow had sold out so I thought I might get the neon pink. The neon pink then sold out so I thought about getting the black. Yesterday, at a different store than I usually go to, they had the strappy yellow in all sizes but 6, poo, (7 being too big in the style) and I didn't like the black on. So I ended up getting nothing. I will take it as not meant to be but being $19.99 on sale, I'm bummed that they didn't have the yellow in 6 :\

NEW: Maggie Shirt and Paige Skirt by Kate Sylvester

Sometimes I like to pretend that I have all the money in the world. I like to pretend that I'm not in mass debt and that my bank account falling into the minus isn't a big deal. This kind of denial can get you in loads of trouble. These days, I've found myself buying things that I can't really afford like the Maggie Shirt and Paige Skirt by Kate Sylvester.

I'm a big fan of the Kiwi TV show The Almighty Johnsons, which feature Kate's designs heavily (I believe Dawn might have worn the dress version in more than one episode of season 2), so I've always wanted a design of hers to call my own.

At least I'm not silly enough to pay full price. Ebay is my saviour.

I have more stuff coming which I'll show you soon. I'm also considering a dinosaur theme soon. I've been in a homeware/interior design mood as of late so I've been trying to style my room again in my free time. They say that decluttering your life will make all the other aspects of your life fall in place. Let's hope this is true. Medical/Dental bills are a killer!

I've always wanted to visit Tahiti. Crazy, yes, as I'm not a fan of a heat but it's forever been on my list of places to travel. I've always dream of me and my boyfriend getting married and then dancing around on the sand. It might sound weird but to me it's very romantic. And then we don't tell anybody until we come home two months later and tell the family. It'll probably never happen but the dream still remains.

I like this collection. I very much do.

NEW: Lancy Shirt Dress by Isabel Marant Etoile

Back when I lived in Holland, I was shopping one day in H&M in Leiden (where I lived for 5 months - the rest of the time I was in Rotterdam) and there was an amazing shirt dress on sale! I was low on cash so I opted not to buy it but would next time. Some time later, I returned to buy it and the colour and size I wanted was no longer available. Granted to say, I've been somewhat looking for a shirt dress ever since. So cue, Lancy Shirt Dress by Isabel Marant Etoile on sale (with free shipping!), designer and perfect. I can't wait until it arrives!

Presenting my second elephant from the Elephant Parade - cue Crowned Elephant by Wilhelmien Nijboer. Isn't he cute?! My mother bought him for me for Christmas. She liked that it looked like he is wearing underwear - I think it looks more like a high school wrestling uniform. But no matter.

I don't really have room for him but as the money goes to charity, I don't think it was a bad purchase.
