NEW: Persian Pussy Vase by Typo

I bought another vase...

I once went to a flea market and saw a vintage cat sculpture for sale,
not unlike this Persian Pussy Vase by Typo, but I decided I'd walk around
a bit and come back to buy it after thinking about it.

When I got back the cat was gone and I was sad about it.

So when I saw this vase I knew I wanted it! It was the same price
as the original cat but I had a voucher, so it cost me nothing.

The flowers I envisioned in it though didn't look good (the leaves were too long
and looked silly) so I bought some pink and white fake tulips at Panda Mart instead.

I named her Molly Mae after Molly-Mae Hague. I don't know who she is but
I had been watching The Great British Bake Off special the night before and the name
seemed fitting. The cat sits next to me on my desk now and makes me smile ^_^

ARTICLE: Can I Thrift Better For Myself Than A Paid Stylist?

If you didn't read my I'm Glad I Didn't Buy A Personalised Style Bundle that I posted the other day, this article will be horribly confusing. But after that disaster (definitely read it), I wanted to challenge myself to see if I could do better at thrifting pieces for myself than a person who actually gets paid to thrift professionally. 

You would think I know my style better than a paid stylist - and of course I do - but that doesn't mean that I'd have more luck as it's all about the items you find on the day. So, I decided to get in the car, hit up some thrift stores and see what I could find without a budget because I honestly didn't expect to find anything.

I think it was back in May (or even earlier) that I was talking about having a hard time
deciding between getting the Gaspish Ankle Boots or Fringle Cognac Ankle Boots.

I ended up buying the Fringle but then went back and got the Gaspish too...

I did say that I preferred the Gaspish over the Fringle so not sure why I did what I did.

I was actually considering getting the brown Gaspish but ended up with black too.

The mind works in mysterious ways. But it is what it is.

They remind me of boots I used to own, and wear every day, which I literally wore to death!

Funny enough, I purchased some boots shortly after, but I've never gravitated towards them.
It was something about the shiny material that I don't like. I like that these are matte.

LOVE: Crescent Moon Ornament by Cody Foster & Co

This Crescent Moon Ornament by Cody Foster & Co via Revolve 
was the Christmas ornament that I purchased last month.

I got a huge discount on it plus cash back, so I got it for a fraction of the price.
I wouldn't have purchased it for its current sale nor full price as it's too much to me.

I even photoshopped it on my Christmas tree to see if it would match
the vibes and colours of my decorations, and it surprisingly did very well. 

There was a LOT of back and forth on if I should buy it, but I adore how artsy it is.
In some ways it also reminds me of Noel Fielding (I think it's his shoes).

THEME: White Pinecone Ornament by David Jones

These are the White Pinecone Ornament I bought at David Jones.

I saw one on display in the city but none for sale. I was in a rush so instead of asking about it,
I went online to find them. They weren't available for click and collect and I was heading
instore two days later so thought I'd wait. That morning, I saw they had sold out online.
Hoping. Praying. I found three instore and bought them! I was so happy!

The only other place I could find them online was in the UK/Germany, but they didn't send to
Australia so, I emailed them to ask. Funny how I didn't want to pay the $10 delivery fee here
but I was willing to pay more to have them shipped from the UK. But I'm so glad I now own them!

NEW: Koroula by Bellissimo

I'd been switching between two pairs of boots - one, just under the knee, and the second,
short lace up front kinda like a suede Dr Martens. The first, which I've owned for years, 
were now very uncomfortable. The second, the inside lining was removed because
it was all scrunched up. With it removed it still hurts my feet but is okay for short periods.

With both pairs in terrible condition and in need of replacing,
I'd been on the lookout for comfortable, new black boots. 

Because honestly, I wear black boots pretty much every day and need
something I can easily walk in, which I can't say for the rest of my boots.

I had given up hope of finding any for this season and then I found these

Koroula by Bellissimo via Shoe Warehouse and I knew I had found them.

It's really difficult to find plain black boots that are still unique.
For example, I love the texture, the silver button and the way the sole looks.
It's the little details for me that I love the most, of which this has. Especially
as I don't wear real leather and I hate plastic looking shoes, the struggle is real.

I'm glad I've now found my new boots. I've been wearing them every day.
So, overall, the most much needed purchase ever really.
