Back in July, I wrote my Strategies I'm Adopting For Downsizing My Wardrobe Space article 

and I had every intention of sticking to the rules I set out. But at the time of writing that, 

I hadn't seen the space that I was going to be working with - so things were a little tricky.

EVENT: I Saw A Movie In 4DX And Boy Wizard, Was It An Experience!

I wasn't planning on seeing any of the Harry Potter films in cinemas for the 25 years of magic re-release, but when I heard that my favourite of the films was to be shown in 4DX, I was immediately intrigued. I had wanted to see The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers in 4DX but it didn't end up working out. So, despite the fair and valid online hate for JK Rowling, I thought I'd see Chamber of Secrets and check out what 4DX is all about.

ARTICLE: 10 Best Clothing Pieces I've Ever Thrifted

I'm not exclusively a thrifter. I buy clothes from regular stores too when I'm looking for
something in particular, but generally these days, I try to shop secondhand as much as possible. 

Earlier this year, I wrote my Can I Thrift Better Than A Paid Stylist? article, so it's no secret that
I've been doing a bit of thrifting this year, more so than previous years. So, I thought it might
be fun to look back at the ten best clothing pieces (including shoes) I've ever thrifted.

This doesn't include clothing items I've specifically searched for (like on Depop or eBay) but items
I stumbled upon by chance. It also includes both online and offline secondhand purchases.

ARTICLE: Printed Speakers by Typo [14 Years Later]

On September 16, 2012, I wrote that I had bought these Printed Speakers by Typo
for $5, stating (and I quote):

"I have accepted that they probably won't last long and the sound quality isn't superb but
for now, they'll do. Besides they are cute and portable. I chose the bird print - it's very me, no?"

ARTICLE: Strategies I'm Adopting For Downsizing My Wardrobe Space

No one really talks of the difficulties of going from a walk-in-wardrobe to a standard inbuilt sliding wardrobe. First world problems, I know, but it can be a challenge for people who have never had to limit their intake before. As I'm preparing to move, this is something I'm facing now. Now I don't think I own that many clothes, as my walk-in-wardrobe still had plenty of space between hangers. However, I've also had the luxury of a costumes wardrobe, a clothing-for-sale/seasonal clothing wardrobe, and space for clothing that currently doesn't fit.

Now having combined all four clothing categories into one, it's likely I'm going to have a space problem when I do eventually end up with a smaller closet. So here are some tips and tricks I'll be adopting when moving.

ARTICLE: Can I Thrift Better For Myself Than A Paid Stylist?

If you didn't read my I'm Glad I Didn't Buy A Personalised Style Bundle that I posted the other day, this article will be horribly confusing. But after that disaster (definitely read it), I wanted to challenge myself to see if I could do better at thrifting pieces for myself than a person who actually gets paid to thrift professionally. 

You would think I know my style better than a paid stylist - and of course I do - but that doesn't mean that I'd have more luck as it's all about the items you find on the day. So, I decided to get in the car, hit up some thrift stores and see what I could find without a budget because I honestly didn't expect to find anything.

I've been obsessed lately with watching videos of girl's receiving thrifted mystery style bundles, so much so that unsurprisingly I want to get one of my own. I've found myself in a bit of a style rut lately. I know what I like and I know what I want but little I own fits me at the moment and I don't have the budget to buy a whole new wardrobe of clothing. I also find it extremely difficult finding thrifted gems.

I'm kind of torn between doing another low buy or no buy this year, so I've decided to call it a low/no buy just in case things go off the rails (hopefully not, as I'm trying to avoid that!) Obviously, I failed my 2024 No Buy and I could have done better during my 2025 Low Buy, so I want to do better in 2026. 

I really want to focus on spending my money on events and activities rather than material possessions. I feel like I achieved that this month, and hopefully that momentum will continue... here's to 2026!

ARTICLE: Items In My Closet I Didn't Wear In 2025

The last time I did a post like this was back in September 2024. I could swear I did one last year, but I guess I didn't - so here's a wrap up of all the things I didn't wear in 2025. 

Note/I only included my hanging clothes again. Nothing folded.

And once again, I've turned my coat hangers around the wrong way so I can track this year what I do and don't wear so expect another update sometime in the next year too ^_^

ARTICLE: My Top 10 Purchases Of 2025

Firstly, I'm not trying to shame anyone who likes to shop, spends more than they earn etc. Everyone makes their own choices, and that's okay. Each to their own, always. I, however, decided to do my Low Buy Year for many reasons but one, of course, was to not spend a lot (especially on impulse items). 

In some ways I did spectacularly, considering Australians buy an average of 56 new clothing items per year (that's more clothes per person than any other country) and I only bought 9 (with one returned). I'm extremely proud. Boots are my Achilles though, and I realise I struggled here. Art too, meaning I bought more than I should. 

I am in no way perfect. I am learning. But I thought I'd focus on the positive of my top ten purchases this year:
