When I was in New York last year, I was waiting in line for rush tickets to another show
all the while thinking about how I should be seeing Hadestown instead. After all,
I was familiar with the music and have been a mythology enthusiast for most of my adult life.

I didn’t see it for a number of reasons (and only had time for one show)
but mainly seeing something so complex on little sleep after over 30 hours of plane travel
didn’t seem like a wise idea. So, with anticipation comes high expectations.
Ultimately, I don’ regret my decision but it was worth the wait.
