NEW: Fluorite Necklace

I got this necklace for my birthday from my family. Well, that's kind of a lie. I actually got something else and was allowed to switch it if I wanted to. I already had something similar so I opted to look in the shop and see if I liked anything better otherwise I'd keep the original item - as I liked it too. I also don't like returning/switching gifts as I think it's kind of a rude thing to do ...

But when I saw this necklace, I just HAD to get it! My mother said that if she'd seen it in the store when she bought what she bought, she would have bought this instead. So in the end, we were all very happy. I love the shades of greens and purples. It makes it very unique and will match with a lot of different things. You like? I do very much so! :) I just wish it photographed better than it does ...

I can't believe that tomorrow is the first of December. This year has flown by!

OUTFIT: I See The Light

So this is what I wore on the Monday of my Sydney trip. The top got a lot of attention :) I hadn't seen it matched with a maxi skirt yet so I decided that - for as far as I know - I'd be the first. I love the exaggerated peplum and the mix of prints. It's very unique and comfy to wear. I hope you like!

OUTFIT: Just Let Me Be

I had pictured taking these photos in front of the Sydney Opera House but it was so windy that my hands were tied holding down my hat and skirt! We took these in the Royal Botanical Gardens near the bamboo plants in the shade. It was still windy, but we made do and took these photos as fast as we could!

This skirt got a lot of attention. I felt eyes on me wherever I went. Someone whispered 'that's one of those galaxy skirts' as I walked by. I guess it was well liked :)

OUTFIT: Doing Something Right

One our way to Paddington Market last Saturday, there were all these gorgeous trees with purple flowers. I just knew that it was the perfect setting for my outfit photos.

I wanted to wear something cool and relaxed. A random weirdo on the street walked past my friend and I as we were talking and laughing together. He laughed along with us and then screamed that he liked my pants .... umm, thanks?

HOME: Declutter, Dehoard and Design

I've been wanting to change up my walk-in-wardrobe for a while now and that meant making sure I had all the same coat hangers. I was sceptical but it makes all the difference. Things sit so much nicer and I can find what I'm looking for.

Anyway, I wanted to share the results and a bit of a look into my bedroom. I've always had an interest in design and my room has changed so much in the last couple of years. I'm a hoarder by nature but I'm getting a lot better - and I can only get better in 2013.

It might sound like I always want a lot of stuff, but that isn't true. When it comes to presents, I prefer giving to receiving. I love spending money on others much more than myself. Infact, when it comes to books, CDs and movies, I prefer to buy secondhand.

So whenever someone asks me what I want for Christmas, my response is always - 2013 RSPCA Calendar (all profit goes directly to the RSPCA) by Peter Alexander or a donation in my name to the RSPCA or WWF.

NEW: The Beauty Book by Darren Tieste

I forgot to post this weeks ago when it arrived, but I bought The Beauty Book by Darren Tieste - a coffee book featuring gorgeous photos of actors, musicians and models with all proceeds of sales going directly to Brain Cancer via two charities - SNOG and HEADRUSH.

It truly is a gorgeous looking book - with 312 pages! - and it's for a good cause.

So if you're stuck of Christmas presents this year, I recommend buying one for all your friends.

EVENT: My 80s Themed Movie Night

Last Saturday night I celebrated my 27th birthday - even though my birthday isn't officially until the 15th. What started off as being a little 80s movie night, turned into an 80s themed dress up party movie night - complete with 80s music, decorations and snacks and a Rubix Cube birthday cake (with colourful food dye inside to look extra 'rad').

I worked hard on the table setting. I bought any candy that was bright and colourful. I also made fairy bread, vodka shots in orange and passionfruit, truffles and created my own vodka punch (with apricot nectar, strawberry liqueur, vodka and fresh strawberries).

I also bought mini slinkies, candy bracelets, glow in the dark bracelets and (what I call) clackers. I also sprinkled the table with confetti, bought jumbo fluro balloons and had brightly coloured cups and plates.

We watched Gremlins, The Labyrinth and The Princess Bride.

I had a really good night and I thank all who attended! 

I wanted to just share a little taste of the hard work I went to because it was absolutely worth every cent.

LOVE: Toucan Crew Jumper by Banjo and Matilda

When I was a kid I did an assignment on the Toucan. I kept it because I put so much work into it. On the front cover, I cut out tiny leaves and stuck them all around the boarder. I guess it's kind of influenced my love for bird prints.

This Toucan Crew Jumper by Banjo and Matilda is so unbelievably cute! If only I could afford it :'( I've never owned anything that was 100% cashmere. Boo.

The Spring Fashion Parade by Forever New was the last event that Cynthia (from Joy Of Sooz) and I attended on Day 3 of The Festival at Westfield Southland Shopping Centre before heading to the lunch.

EVENT: The Festival by Westfield Southland

Day 3 of The Festival at Westfield Southland Shopping Centre, that I attended with Cynthia from Joy Of Sooz wasn't just about fashion parades, there was also style workshops in between. While Cynthia and I were waiting to get our fake eyelashes put on (thankyou Napoleon Perdis for the free eyelash applications!), we managed to catch the noon Style Workshop with Westfield Stylist, Victoria Tomaro who showed viewers the tricks and tips of how to dress up or down a certain item of clothing on the gorgeous Danielle.

Also on show, was The Art of Mikey Tee and Shoe Design - whose, by the way, artwork was amazing! I wish I could have stayed and watched more! - plus Fox FM were down handing out free lollies, and some chicks from Stayfree were handing out sample Sanitary Pads.

EVENT: The Festival by Westfield Southland

The second show of Day 3 (of The Festival at Westfield Southland Shopping Centre with Cynthia from Joy Of Sooz) was the Streetwear Fashion Parade - featuring pieces from Universal Store, Ozmosis, Jetty Surf, General Pants, Bonds, Jeanwest and more. The looks were all about showcasing outfits to wear for different summer events from a music festival to hitting the beach, or from a romantic night out to a sexy night in.

EVENT: The Festival by Westfield Southland

Last Saturday, I headed to Westfield Southland Shopping Centre with Cynthia from Joy Of Sooz for Day 3 of The Festival. We didn't attend all the whole day but we attended a select few that I'd like to share with you. First up was the Spring Summer Trends Fashion Parade by David Jones - which showcased the best of the best men and women's racewear. I especially adore the green dress at the very end!

I'm going to share the rest over the next four day :) There's too many photos to show all at once.
