LOVE: Sequin Dress by Mango

I love love love this Sequin Dress by Mango via ASOS!
From the square neckline to the stripes to the tiny gold tassel detail.
I'd love to wear this in New Zealand.
I hate that bullsh*t that ASOS occasionally only sends to certain countries ..
it's screwed me once before :\ boo!

I seem to be mentioning a lot of trips and so forth, so to recap my year:
July - Wedding in Holland (which I'm pretty sure I'm no longer attending :S)
November - Week in Sydney/Gold Coast for my birthday
and New Zealand - hopefully in October but no official date is set.

My ear feels like it's burning so I've been mostly staying in bed.
It's bright red and stings. Hopefully that will go away.
I have plans tomorrow that I don't want to/can't cancel :\

Enjoy your week everybody!

Did anyone else really enjoy this song at Eurovision?

Rhetorical, naturally, as it got the votes :)

LOVE: Silhouette Heels by Betts

I'm very much a colour girl, but like many Melbournians I also wear a lot of black :\ Bad me. I think these Silhouette Heels by Betts would be the ultimate way of injecting some fun colour in my wardrobe. I'm leaning more towards the pink although the yellow would mesh well with that Bardot tank I've been looking at ....

Decisions. Decisions.

I do so think that I will buy this Side Dip Tank by Bardot next week because I love the style and the colour. I can absolutely see it fitting into my wardrobe. I'm excited and can't wait to own it!

NEW: Ear Piercings

I've wanted more piercings for a while but could never make up my mind 100% what I wanted. So yesterday, on a whim, I decided to just go for it. I wanted four piercings above (to make a total of five because the top one I already had). A forth one wouldn't have fit below and I wasn't sure on having it at the top - so I ended up only get three. Although I do think I will end up getting a fifth once the others heal or I will end up taking the bottom one out because I like the look of odd numbers better.

My ear is in a little pain ... okay more than a little lol but I think it was all worth it :)

Thankyou to Hairhouse Warehouse for taking care of it - appreciated!

I hope you like!

NEW: Cara Cork Heels by Famous Footwear

I picked up these Cara Cork Heels by Famous Footwear for $19.99 yesterday. They are exactly what I was looking for (see this post). I knew if anywhere had them, Famous Footwear would have them and at a great price! I love how the cork is almost a wedge but it's a chunky heel instead.

Love. Love. Love.

EVENT: Gok Wan's Westfield Style Tour 2012

Today I had the pleasure of going to see Gok Wan on his Westfield Style Tour for the second year in a row. This year I went to Southland Shopping Centre, whereas last year I saw him at Fountain Gate Shopping Centre. I was surprised as to how quiet it was compared to the size of the crowd last year. I arrived at 11am  to make sure I got a front seat view aka the perfect view for photos :)

I liked this year a lot more because he did more with the makeover side of things. Last year, he mostly left it up to his assistants, so it was nice to see him do what he does best - style. He's always so cheeky and I love that about him. Offencive, yes, but that's who he is. He had his eye on a "silver fox" in the audience. He made jokes about 'going down', 'spreading one's legs', 'cutting woman's clothes off is the key to getting a woman' etc etc and let us not forgot the 'hey homo, they're ready' catch phrase - personally I thought the 'hey gay boy, they're ready' from last year had more pop but no matter ...

Also I kind of loved the fact that he totally passed a lady from the audience and rubbed his face in the chest of another. One cannot question his ability to entertain - and probably offend too. I like that he had a tattoo done in Brisbane. A tattoo is forever so Australia will always mean something to him :)

The actual highlight of the show had nothing to do with Gok himself. Before it all started, a guy came on stage and sung 'Truely Madly Deeply' ala Savage Garden - badly mind you, but it was hilarious. Apparently it was a dare from Fox FM? I'm not 100% sure on that but it was really funny. If I find any video, I'll be sure to share :)

I might do a little more of this later once I have time to think it over. I have a video that, if blogger lets me, I will upload for you all. Oh and my internet is being shut off all next week so I will make sure to schedule some entries but if you comment, I won't be able to approve them until June :)

Oh BTW to the girl in Glassons that commented on my skirt and necklace - I got the website wrong :\ I hope you are able to find it. If by chance you read this - I'm sorry :\

Enjoy the photos!

LOVE: Metal Coated Jumper by Jay Jays

If anybody loved the Foiled Plans Jumper by MINKPINK I posted on my blog this week but found it just a little over your price range; the Metal Coated Jumper by Jay Jays is a great budget friendly alternative. It also comes in silver for those who prefer silver. Little tip though, if your skin is more yellow toned, go for gold; if it's pinkish, wear silver :) It looks better, trust me! Silver looks awful on me! :\

I'm going to try the jumper on tomorrow and hopefully purchase it if all goes well.

LOVE: Splendour Dress by Living Doll

I kinda want this Splendour Dress by Living Doll via Freez. It kind of reminds me of the Verushka Dress by Friend Of Mine via Princess Polly but in a different cut. I think this cut would be more flattering on me. I'm really hating how short hemlines are these days - I'd prefer it if were a little longer but I might purchase it if it goes on sale because for the moment, I have no need for it. It's pretty though :)

LOVE: Pleated Pocket Elastic Hem Pants by Supre

I am in love with these Pleated Pocket Elastic Hem Pants by Supre! The fuchsia colour is my favourite followed only slightly by the jade. They remind me very much of the Washed Silk Suit Pants by staple but completely different lol. Pockets are always a big winner with me!

OUTFIT: Bring Him Home

I have been living in this vest even since I got it. It's so warm and cosy. I find it funny though that neither no one noticed the bin in the background when we were shooting :\ I adore the arch though.

Have a good weekend everybody!

EVENT: "Weekend" in Mt Buller

Sorry for my super quick last blog entry! I seriously typed it in one minute, got dressed in two minutes, packed in five and then I was out the door. It was very hectic and I forgot to bring a lot of things :\

I was in Mt Buller for two nights. My family has a house up there that we always stay at so it's like another home for me because I've been there so many times. There wasn't any snow as snow season starts in three weeks but there was some ice on the ground and it was very cold. When we arrived it was 5 degrees and it was around 1 degree when we went out for dinner.

We had dinner at the Enzian Restaurant the first night. It was the only place that we knew was open at such a late time of night. There were many people and our waiter was very cute :) The meal was okay. It was more of less like pub food so nothing fancy to speak of.

The second night we had dinner at the Black Cockatoo at the Chalet which was AMAZING! Up at Mt Buller (especially in the off-season) you can only really find "pub food", and I was craving salad and I really pushed for dinner at the Chalet. I ordered the 'Gnocchi with Mushroom Sauce' with a 'Rocket, Blue Cheese, Walnut and Apple Salad' on the side and the 'Snow Dome' for dessert - which you can see below. It was homemade icecream with fresh strawberries and a shard of chocolate under a dome made of ice. It was truely spectacular. It was a little expensive at $17 but it was definitely worth it!

Here's a little photo of my Dad and I outside the Chalet on the second night. It was very chilly. Sorry for the quality of the photo. It's hard to see but I was wearing ...

EVENT: Mother's Day Sunday

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
... well, for yesterday anyway.

I hope everyone had a lovely day. I went out with my family to a German-themed restaurant called The Cuckoo. I've been going there since I was a kid but I hadn't been there for a while. They have an all you can eat buffet and live entertainment, so my sister and I thought it would be a nice way to celebrate the day. We had time to check out the Olinda shops before lunch which was lovely even though it was freezing cold!

All the food was lovely - except the cinnamon pasta dish which wasn't to my liking, especially when I thought it was just cheesy vegetarian pasta :\ It was really crowded so there was big lines to get your food but that died down during different times. I especially liked the vegetable pizza and potato pancakes. Oh and the gluten free chocolate cake was delish too!

I wore my purple trench coat and striped dress (both Portmans) but the photo I got (above) didn't show any of it :\ I do so love the photo above that I got with my Mum. I make a pretty sexy guy, no? I mean, come on, look at those legs! But moreso, check out my Mum's rack?! Wow! Haha!

EVENT: Kristy's Winery Birthday

First up, please forgive me for the lack of posts. I have been battling the flu and have spent most of my week in bed. I still have a bit of a nasty cough and my nose is peeling like crazy but on the whole, I think I am making a spectacular recovery.

Remember, I mentioned that I had been invited to my friend's winery tour birthday? Well it just happened to be last Saturday. Friday night I was feeling better and was 100% going to go, but by Saturday morning I had considered cancelling because I woke up feeling sick again. By lunch time, I was convinced by those around me that I should go. But after getting ready and catching the train, about five stations in, I was considering turning back because I couldn't stop coughing. I battled through though, hung in there and went anyway. I arrived at the bus depot with barely a voice lol.

I'm glad I didn't go home - even if I still didn't feel/look 100% because I had a great time. There was a bus of 20 of us who went on the tour. We socialised and played games. First up was Trivia. I was on team Ted and Buzz. We lost by one point but I helped my team by answering many questions (I was the only person on the bus who knew the name of the first HP book, holla!) The second game was Celebrity Heads. I didn't play (only two people played) but I did come up with one of the names - Fat Bastard from Austin Powers - which provided a lot of humour - especially for photos, I mean come on imagine a guy with the label 'Fat Bastard' above his head - it's pretty funny! But it's even funnier when you know the person and they are a real crack up! :)

We visited two wineries - Yarra Wood and Kellybrook - before stopping for dinner at Coldstream Brewery. I had an amazing herb risotto with roasted tomatoes and homemade cookies and ice cream for dessert (just what the doctor ordered!) I drank lots of wine but wasn't tipsy at all. It was all very nice - even the stuff the wasn't to my liking, I drank it anyway :) I learnt once again that red is not for me.

At Kellybrook there was this amazing 100 year old tree in the pretty garden. You can see it below. Gorgeous! Sadly this was the only outfit post I got (my blog is still a secret to most people I know sadly :\) But gosh, look at how far up my skirt rode! :\ Oopsie!

The bus got back at 10pm and half the group went home while the other half went out to party into the night. I was part of the home crowd. I needed to rest so I could be at least somewhat better for Mother's Day Sunday. So that's exactly what I did. Details to come ...

I hope you like my photos! More under the cut :)

EVENT: Cue Online Store Now Open

I'm so effing excited that Cue's online store is finally open! It's about time - I've been waiting for this for ages! Cue is one of my absolute favourite stores and if I had all the money in the world, I would buy their entire collection every season.

Check out the new store here:

I love the originality of this Wild Child Dress by August Street via Frock You.

LOVE: Factory Girl Trapeze Dress by Purple Ginger

Factory Girl Trapeze Dress by Purple Ginger via Frock You - a potential wedding dress, perhaps?

I tried on the Ojay dress I liked on Monday and it didn't suit sadly :'( It was too long and the "waist" line of the dress sat too low. I found the perfect pair of cork black heels at Rubi Shoes on sale for $15 but they only had sizes 40/41 (9/10 AUS) and I'm a size 37/6 so I was disappointed.

And sorry for the lack of posts this week. I have the flu and have been spending each day in bed watching TV. Monday was hell - I knew I shouldn't have gone out when I was feeling so bad. I haven't really slept in two days - just naps here and there :\ I'm hoping I'm better by the weekend though.

How adorable is this Peplum Playsuit by ASOS Petite?! I'd love a swim suit in this design!

I'm working tomorrow but afterwards, as I'll be at the shops, I'm going to try on some dresses at Ojay and hope, just hope, that one of them is perfect enough for the wedding :)

OUTFIT: I've Seen Better Days

I'm currently having a season 4 Supernatural marathon. I loved seasons 1-3 but I feel like it's lost a bit of its sparkle since they introduced angels. But to be honest, season 4 is really growing on me. Angel-focused episodes still aren't my favourite but I'm enjoying them much more in the marathon and Genevieve Cortese (now Padalecki) as Ruby  is growing on me :)

Today, however, I took a break from the marathon and saw The Five Year Engagement. I wanted to like it but I didn't. It wasn't my type of movie. I prefer movies when you don't know how they are going to end - hence why I like too few movies ... it's a problem, I know. And a main reason why I have a big dislike for a lot of well-loved chick flicks. Still, I love my movie collection - even if some would say that it's quite bad.

I really like this outfit though. It's very much inspired by Olivia Palermo.

NEW: Courtney Love Print by stylestalker

I'm having a personal dilemna. The Courtney Love Dress and Courtney Love Skirt from stylestalker both arrived today. I wanted to wear them both together (ie. above) as a fun look but I'm unsure if I like it together - well actually, that's a lie, because I do like the two together, I just don't think I love it on me. And even that too is a lie because I don't mind it on me, I'm just wondering how much wear I will actually get out of the two.

One moment I'm thinking I'll just keep the skirt and send back the dress - the next, I think I just want to keep the dress and send back the skirt. It's all very confusing. Methinks if I really did love it though then I wouldn't even be writing this right now.

Let's just say that the dress is too long and the skirt is too short and send it on it's way ... I mean, if I have doubt then maybe I should ....

Confused. Am I.

PS. Forgive the photo - I had no one here to take my photo :\

NEW: Knitted Bodycon Dress With Contrast Panels by ASOS

So I caved and bought something. I've had my eye on this Knitted Bodycon Dress With Contrast Panels by ASOS for a long while now. I always put off buying it just because it's so bright - but that's exactly the reason I like it in the first place. The dress just became available again online so I thought best grab it before it goes - and good thing I did, because I bought the last one :)

Let's hope it suits!

EVENT: Romance Was Born for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week 2012

I love a good Romance Was Born show. I wish I had been in Sydney to see it live but I'm hoping to find some video footage when I have time to look for some. Marvel Comics mixed with a black and white graffiti background screams pure entertainment to me! It may look wacky but what I love about RWB is that if you look at the pieces separately, there is usually a lot of ready to wear pieces.

A-MA-ZING!

More pics under the cut ;)

PS. I can't believe it's May already - where has the year gone?

Oh and Fijne Konninginnedag to all my Dutch friends/readers out there for yesterday!
