I adore the amazing detail on this Beaded India Jacket by T by Bettina Liano via Miss Shop. It reminds me of Greek culture more so than Indian though - very Disney's Hercules. It's unfortunate how my generation gets most of its knowledge from movies and TV :\
Still though, I like!
I went and saw Looper last night. Wow oh wow oh wow. I love movies when you don't know where they are going. It's so much more than just a time travel movie. But that said, I do love action movies with a lot of blood. Yes, at the start it can be quite confusing, but the story is actually quiet easier to follow than one might think. I really enjoyed it. And the ending is really good too!

One could argue that I don't need these considering I already bought the Black and Gold Baroque Foil Print Leggings by New Look but it's always good to have variety, right? ;)
You know when you have a large wish list and you just want to buy everything straight away? And how somehow an empty wish list makes us feel somewhat better? That's my state of mind at the moment. Only two things to go =D ... unless I update my list :\

NEW: Sully Boot by Rubi Shoes
So it seems like my rule to 'no longer buy shoes that I don't need' has been thrown out the window ...
But I saw these Sully Boots by Rubi Shoes and I just couldn't resist.
I was looking for black lace-up wedge boots.
As you can see, I didn't really come close - except that they are black :\
I've never been a fan of Rubi Shoes. Their shoes aren't the best quality but as I don't wear leather, my shoe shop options are sometimes limited. I've accept that these probably won't last as long as leather shoes. They aren't like anything I own so that makes them okay too. I'm happy with my purchase =D
I'm having trouble with the internet ... again. Please bare with me while I try and get it fixed.

NEW: Tigerphant by Dominique Salm for Elephant Parade
The Elephant Parade is the world’s largest open-air exhibition dedicated to saving the Asian elephant from extinction. After months on show, the elephants are auctioned off - but for those of us who can't afford the real deal - limited edition miniatures are also sold.
I've wanted my own miniature ever since 2010 and so I finally decided to get one. I wanted an elephant from the 2010 London Elephant Parade but there are many other elephants available.
For as long as I can remember, I've supported animal charities. I regularly give to the World Wildlife Fund and RSPCA - and one day, when I'm financially secure, I will donate every month. I also hope to adopt an animal sometime in the future - I just haven't made up my mind yet which animal that will be. It will definitely be one of the animals most dire - as once an animal is extinct, it's never coming back - which saddens me more than I care to admit :'(

EVENT: The new Westfield Fountain Gate Grand Opening
Today, I headed to Westfield Fountain Gate to see (I guess you'd call it) the new wing of the shopping centre. The centre was aflutter with shoppers rushing to check out over 100 new stores.
Boosting live entertainment and discounts; Kate Hill was offering free cupcakes (as below), Valleygirl was giving out free fairy floss/cotton candy, Cotton On had a live DJ and free photo booth, and if you were wise, you would have picked up a free booklet of store wide discounts. And more!
Jennifer Hawkins was there representing Myer and Dani Venn (from 2010 Masterchef Australia) demonstrated sweet treats and canapés.
Children were also rewarded with free face painting and balloons, plus clowns and magicians for entertain.
The new centre is very impressive but I can't help but think that he changes have taken away some of the old Fountain Gate charm. The thing I always liked was it was the place to go if you wanted a small (and more quiet) shopping centre with lots to offer. I will miss that.

NEW: Black and Gold Baroque Foil Print Leggings by New Look
Ever since I found out that every pair of Baroque Leaf Leggings by Cotton On have sold out, I have been looking for a similar replacement. It's very easy to find black with gold leggings - there's so many different prints and styles - however, I ordered these Black and Gold Baroque Foil Print Leggings by New Look last night. Although the pattern is very different, I love the look!
I cannot wait until they are mine! I know exactly what I want to wear them with.

NEW: Printed Speakers by Typo
My Ipod dock died a couple of months ago and I have yet to find a suitable replacement (price, features, size etc). A friend has given me his Ipod dock to use for the moment but the volume button doesn't decrease (only increase) so it plays very loud - which isn't good when you just want some light background music.
So cue - Printed Speakers by Typo. They were $5 with purchase. I have accepted that they probably won't last long and the sound quality isn't superb but for now, they'll do. Besides they are cute and portable. I chose the bird print - it's very me, no?
Oh and FYI, if curious, the music playing is the Jekyll & Hyde musical soundtrack with Anthony Warlow =D
EVENT: Shout It Out World Tour by Hanson
Last Friday night, I had the pleasure of seeing Hanson in concert. It's been seven years since they last toured Australia and, as having been a huge Hanson fan in my youth (I was sure that I was going to marry Zac - just like millions of other girls in the world =P), I couldn't pass on the opportunity to see them once more!

VIDEO: Give A Little by Hanson
When I was at Supanova this year, I was waiting in the line to get my photo taken with the Phelps twins (read all about it here), and I was talking to a 18 year old girl who was in the line behind me. We had an hour to kill, so naturally we spoke about a lot of things. I don't know how, when or why I bought up Hanson but for whatever reason I did, and she had no idea who they were/are.
So for those of you who also have never heard of them, Hanson were a huge boy band in the late 90s. Think One Direction of the 90s - that was Hanson. Hanson are three brothers - Isaac, Taylor and Zac - from Tulsa, Oklahoma. They pretty much disappeared from the limelight in the noughties but, even today they, still have a huge following.
I'll be honest, I was a fan for longer than most but I was no longer a huge fan when I went to their concert in 2006. I felt left out because everyone knew the words to their latest album and I had no idea. So tonight, Hanson returns to Melbourne for their Shout It Out concert. I was determined to learn the words this time. So I borrowed the CDs from my friend and over the past months, I've been learning the lyrics. So fingers crossed that tonight I will be able to sing along to all the songs.
I highly recommend giving them a listen! I'll report about the concert afterwards.

There was a buzz in the air at Chadstone this Wednesday past for the shopping centre's VIP night. Shoppers, bloggers and special guests alike, were treated to free bubbly, food samples, gift bags and two free runway shows. It was a magical night where none was excluded and everyone was made to feel like a VIP.

OUTFIT: Vogue Cocktail Party
This is what I wore to Chadstone's VIP Night last night. I was going to wait and share it when I did my full recap but I thought I'd share it with you now instead. I've never worn all pastels before and, as I usually like to wear a little bit of black, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to try something a little bit different, embrace Spring and work a trend.

LOVE: Rodeo Tee by Sportsgirl
I have loved (and still love!) this Rodeo Tee by Sportsgirl from the moment I saw it instores. But I cannot think of anything I would wear it with that's already in my wardrobe that won't make it too cliche and cowboy-y. I'm afraid I'd have the best intentions if I bought it, but it would probably just become the tee I end up sleeping in - and that saddens me because I love it so much.

NEW: Hallie Wedge by Rubi Shoes
I was on a mad last minute hunt today for mint coloured shoes and, just when I thought all hope was lost, these babies (the Hallie Wedge) were sitting in the sale section in Rubi Shoes just waiting for me to buy them! They are one size too small (I'm usually a 37) so they are a bit snug but perfect for tomorrow's cocktail party event ... as long as I don't fall and break my neck then I should be fine (shopping centre floors can sure be slippery!) But I love them and their $20 price tag.
I'll have more details and photos from the event come Thursday =D
I am in such a happy mood right now! Hopefully I'll be able to spill the beans why soon.
